Christian Boarding School for Girls Hawaii

Evangelhouse Christian Boarding School for Girls Focus

At Evangelhouse Christian boarding school for girls from Hawaii, no unchecked bullying is allowed. To put it mildly, a significant portion of public schools are known for maintaining disruptive, chaotic environments. Long-standing social and legal tendencies have created environments that can only be described as chaotic and unregulated, which foster casual bullying and sporadic violent outbursts. Such improper conduct is uncommon at a Christian institution because of its moral standards and stringent code of conduct.

Our Christian boarding school for girls from Hawaii maintains a disciplined, structured environment. Through our therapeutic and milieu staff members who act as role models for our girls, we foster encouragement of dignity and respect for other people. This cultural norm at Evangelhouse is greatly aided by clear norms and students’ expectations of self-disciplined behavior.

Another positive attribute of Evangelhouse Christian boarding school for girls is our focus on common ideals. Being around like-minded people who have received the same Christian education on a daily basis immensely aids in helping your child mature into a responsible adult who knows how to live each day in God’s love with like moral neighbors.

Many teen girls from Hawaii find it challenging to reach their full potential in coeducational settings. Girls from Hawaii may be impacted by peer pressure, the feeling that they must adhere to social mores, the desire to fit in, and other factors. These are just a few of the factors that lead to many young ladies suppressing their originality and personalities in a coed academic environment. Girls are frequently more inclined to take up difficult math and scientific topics and participate passionately in major sports when left to their own devices in a single-sex environment—all things that girls aren’t supposed to like.

Girls’ school students are more likely to experience an atmosphere that encourages an open and safe exchange of ideas than their female classmates in co-educational schools. Compared to only 58 percent of females attending coeducational schools, nearly 87 percent of pupils at girls’ schools believe that their ideas are valued at their school.

    Therapeutic Milieu Programming at Evangelhouse

The main goal of Milieu treatment programming is to eliminate the stressors that can trigger negative emotions from our teenage residents. In turn, when we achieve de-risking of our residents, we produce a therapeutic setting.  Under the protection of a controlled therapeutic setting, our residents are able to develop new coping mechanisms. These new coping mechanisms become their personal set of tools to better cope with and understand the world. Another advantage is that they learn how to open up and disclose their difficulties. Our peer group receives regular feedback during therapy and this allows our residents to observe how their actions affect the community. This therapy setting offers them time to process and reflect on the consequences of the actions or decisions they have made in the past and how they can improve moving forward.

Hawaii parents often prefer to find a program that can create some distance from their daughter’s current stressors. This is so she will focus on the issues at hand, and not focus on her boyfriend, friends, pets, or family while getting treatment. Also, the temptation to call a friend to “rescue” her is diminished with some distance. While we are located nearby, we have enrolled girls from all 50-states including all major cities in Hawaii.

Spiritual growth is a unique aspect of the Evangelhouse program. Students are urged to take notes during church sermons, establish personal bible study habits, and set aside time for prayer.

Every school day begins with a student-led group prayer and devotional reflection for the day. Before participating in a peer-led prayer group each night before bed, the group is given time for personal contemplation. Weekly group meetings are arranged to share challenges and offer support to the peer group. Each individual is also supervised and guided by staff members as they build healthy spiritual disciplines.

Many young girls have found their place in the world and lived a life of faith thanks to the Evangelhouse experiential education and family counseling method. Our Christian life-coaching program provides adolescent girls the self-assurance they need to face challenges and succeed. We urge kids to apply biblical principles to real-life circumstances and to rely on these principles to assist them through their adolescent years and beyond.

Evangelhouse all-girls, private boarding school is a twelve-month, year-round school which means your daughter may be admitted at any point in the year. If you have any questions about the program please call us at 1-800-924-4012 or visit our contact page.
