Delaware Trauma Treatment Center for Girls

Trauma Treatment Utilizing Family Therapy

Behavioral healthcare centers are facilities that provide specialized treatment for individuals with mental health and substance abuse disorders, including those who have experienced trauma for teen girls from Delaware. Teen girls who have experienced trauma can benefit from a range of trauma treatments offered at these centers.

Family Therapy is one of several treatment modalities offered at Evangelhouse for the treatment of trauma in the girls we serve. Family therapy is a form of psychotherapy that aims to improve communication and resolve conflicts within the family unit. It involves a trained therapist working with the family as a whole, or in smaller groups, to address the issues that are affecting their well-being. Family therapy is based on the idea that individuals are interconnected and their behavior and emotions are influenced by the family system. In trauma treatment, family therapy can be beneficial in several ways.

Firstly, family therapy provides a safe and supportive environment for family members to share their experiences, emotions, and thoughts about the trauma. Trauma can create a sense of isolation and disconnection within the family, and family therapy can help to rebuild trust and strengthen relationships. Family therapy can also help to identify and address any dysfunctional patterns of behavior or communication that may be exacerbating the trauma symptoms.

Secondly, family therapy can help to increase the family’s understanding of the trauma and its impact on their lives. Trauma for teen girls from Delaware can be overwhelming, and family members may struggle to make sense of what has happened. Family therapy can provide education about trauma and its effects, helping family members to develop coping strategies and support each other.

Thirdly, family therapy can help to improve the individual’s recovery outcomes by involving the entire family system. In individual therapy, the focus is on the individual’s experience of trauma, whereas family therapy involves the entire family in the healing process.

Evangelhouse residential treatment center (RTC) is willing to open its door to help any teenage girl suffering emotionally and academically. Our students may have been turned away from other school settings, but if your daughter from Delaware can benefit from our program then we will work with you. It is our goal to offer a traditional, academic program that is demanding while addressing our residents emotionally.

The Evangelhouse campus is located in St. Martinville, Louisiana. We have a very safe, rural setting that allows us to engage in English horseback riding and other outdoor activities city campuses can’t offer.

Our beautiful 27-acre private campus offers athletic amenities including soccer, track, and a variety of field sports and various outdoor activities. Each day at Evangelhouse, students engage in on-campus team sports activities such as soccer, volleyball, softball, and flag football. Other recreational sports include ultimate Frisbee, kickball, and Capture the Flag.

Our campus is purposefully small and we limit our enrollment to just 16 girls at a time. Parents find our setting perfect in that it’s far enough away from home to make a clean break from current relationships and stressors. Additionally, we are rural enough that local distractions and temptations are at a minimum.

Notably, we meet our students where they are. Our academic approach is to create an individualized academic plan that defines the academic targets and assists with their learning and therapeutic process.

Evangelhouse RTC for troubled girls from Delaware is a fully approved academic institution that can help students enhance their self-esteem, and self-efficacy, and become lifelong learners. While it is a fact that all pupils can learn; we recognize that some students need emotional and individualized support from their learning community to achieve their goals.

One great advantage of attending Evangelhouse RTC for troubled girls from Delaware is our smaller class size which allows for greater personalized attention. This also allows for more hands-on, experiential learning to occur. We believe our students gain a richer, more meaningful learning experience when they are able to use appropriate learning tools in the field.  Another benefit to our program is that our academic curriculum runs year-round. This calendar lends itself well to filling in the gaps your child may have missed in their previous academic experience. When your daughter completes her academic program at Evangelhouse Christian Academy she will attend a graduation ceremony and receive an accredited diploma. A benefit of receiving an accredited diploma is that our students may transfer credits if applicable.
