Leila serves as the Evangelhouse Nutrition Wellness Coordinator. During her college career from 2005-2011, she coordinated and directed various art and wellness programs such as the following: Art Teacher for the Boys and Girls Club, The Monticello Intermediate School Learning Garden funded through a Martin Luther King Mini-Grant, and the Healthy Lifestyle grant funded through Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
After graduation, Leila moved to the Greater Seattle Area during 2012-2016. She continued her education in naturopathic nutrition and in functional medicine while working as a family specialist. Her experience includes working as a certified lifestyle eating and performance nutrition therapist for a neuro-development clinic, in private consultation services, and in a weight loss clinic. Her specialty is in food sensitivities/allergies and behavior change coaching.
Leila has a passion for teaching art, and her instruction time with Evangelhouse students frequently incorporates art activities for stress relief and self-expression.
