Washington Behavioral Healthcare Center for Girls

Our Christian Behavioral Healthcare Center Community

The unique setting at Evangelhouse Christian Behavioral Healthcare Center for Washington girls provides a safe community that we believe allows our students to grow and study. In our community, we eliminate many of the outside world’s stressors that can hinder our residents from performing well academically and feeling well emotionally.

Many of the stressors in our outside world may create overwhelming situations for our teens that are difficult to cope with. In the interest of fostering beneficial change in our teenage girls, we help them to develop coping strategies. We provide positive community experiences for our girls through community service projects and a supportive milieu.

Community Service at Evangelhouse

It has been demonstrated through academic research that participating in community service may help young people in a variety of ways before, during, and even after their high school years. The advantages of volunteering may impact students’ life at Evangelhouse Christian Behavioral Healthcare Center for Washington girls on many levels—professionally, academically, and emotionally.

Students at Evangelhouse Christian Behavioral Healthcare Center for Washington girls have involvement in community service projects that are supervised by the school. Our graduates have told us that the skills they learned through their volunteering at Evangelhouse were useful to them once they started looking for a career. Volunteering teaches them important skills that girls typically can’t get in a classroom. Better communication, teamwork, creativity, problem-solving, and time management are a few examples of these abilities. Employers frequently seek employees with experience in these fields.

Through volunteering at Evangelhouse, girls gain confidence and life experience from community involvement. Students get the chance to work with a wide range of diverse people via their service. They have a feeling of social awareness as a result of this. Our girls gain tolerance and understanding while experiencing firsthand how they can make a difference in their neighborhood.

Therapeutic Milieu Programming at Evangelhouse

The main goal of Milieu treatment programming is to eliminate the stressors that can trigger negative emotions from our teenage residents. In turn, when we achieve de-risking of our residents, we produce a therapeutic setting.  Under the protection of a controlled therapeutic setting, our residents are able to develop new coping mechanisms. These new coping mechanisms become their personal set of tools to better cope with and understand the world. As our residents become more familiar with the routine at Evangelhouse Christian Behavioral Healthcare Center for girls, their ability to feel safe increases. Likewise, in a mutually safe environment, the peer group is able to build trust and make great progress in promoting emotional growth within each individual.

There are many advantages to participating in Milieu therapy. One advantage is that our teenagers learn to accept responsibility for their own actions. Another advantage is that they learn how to open up and disclose their difficulties. Our peer group receives regular feedback during therapy and this allows our residents to observe how their actions affect the community. This therapy setting offers them time to process and reflect on the consequences of the actions or decisions they have made in the past and how they can improve moving forward.

At Evangelhouse Christian Behavioral Healthcare Center for girls, our residents will participate in milieu therapy and gain coping skills that will help them in the real world.

Individualized Treatment at our Behavioral Healthcare Center for Washington Girls

At Evangelhouse Behavioral Healthcare Center for Washington girls, we will customize the treatment strategy for your daughter based on her individualized needs. Even though there are specific therapies that are often the most successful, there is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all cure for any mental condition. Treatment plans should take the patient’s diagnosis, history, physical condition, and preferences into consideration.

Making sure that your daughter’s mental health concerns are fully taken care of is an essential component of this first examination and treatment planning. Co-occurring disorders are frequent, and the best therapy takes all of them into account at once. For instance, if a loved one has an alcohol use disorder in addition to depression, they will require therapy for both issues in order to prevent relapses in the future.

Before deciding to admit your daughter to any Behavioral Healthcare Center, inquire about the personnel at each facility. The top programs like Evangelhouse Behavioral Healthcare Center for Washington girls have professionals that are knowledgeable in several facets of mental health and therapy. It is insufficient to only have numerous therapists on staff. In order to effectively serve troubled girls, programs need to have expertise in various forms of treatment and mental disease.

Additionally, the Behavioral Healthcare Center should have a collaborative care philosophy among its employees. At Evangelhouse Behavioral Healthcare Center, we actively collaborate with parents and other treatment professionals for the benefit of our girls. We confer with one another and decide on their course of action for therapy and treatments depending on each girl’s individualized needs. Not just therapists but also doctors, nurses, milieu staff, and other professionals are involved in collaborative care.

The therapeutic community members at Evangelhouse Behavioral Healthcare Center actively assist one another. This offers a higher standard of care. Having a supportive community is advantageous for your daughter since social support is crucial for healthy mental health. Supporting people actively has positive effects on mental health. As your loved one supports and assists people around them, it will boost their self-efficacy and self-confidence, increasing their sense of competence and self-worth.

This school literally has given my daughter her life back and has given us the tools to help her and herself into the future. This is a full circle, all encompassing program. From admission to graduation. Do not delete this school from your list! I almost did because it was far away...and...to be honest, I wasn't sure how I felt about a "Christian" school. Whether you are religious or not, don't be put off or think your child is going to be brainwashed. She's not! It is a part of the day and I thought my daughter would hate it (and so did she). But it turns out she found great comfort there and her faith! I thoroughly investigated this school. In addition to my own research, I also hired a company that researches and screens these types of programs. I also had my daughter's psychiatrist interview the director! I've done all the researching and investigating for you. Whatever your daughter's issues may be, I probably have them covered! My daughter's diagnosis' range from ADHD, Anxiety, High Risk Behavior, Adoption issues/trauma and psychosis. Do not waste your time. Don't wait for Spring or end of school or whatever timeline. Act now! The happiest day of my life was delivering her to the ECA. I actually slept for the first time in years. Knowing my daughter was finally getting the help she so deserved. Therapy, school, socialization, faith, responsibility, accountability, self-worth and confidence. We all ask or pray for help. Consider ECA as prayers answered.

I graduated from ECA 4 years ago, and I can genuinely say that this place is truly amazing. It can and will help your daughter if she wants to put in the work. The staff and the girls I was with all made me feel like family and that I mattered. This place really saved my life, so if you are looking for a place that will help your daughter please send her here, I promise they will take care of her.

We had a troubled teen. I found ECA online. I made a call and set up a visit. We were looking for a place that included God and biblical principles in their program. Now that our child has finished the program, WOW! Thank you ECA leadership. Every one on staff believes in the program. It shows! and it works!!

This school has been an absolute Godsend for my daughter and our family. We realized a few months ago that she needed residential treatment. After an exhaustive search, we found the wonderful people at Evangelhouse. They do an amazing job keeping parents updated and are always available when we call. I have been impressed with the way that they are firm with the girls but also loving and caring. The process there is amazing, especially since it involves the family also. We were so happy to find a place that provides professional counseling with a Christian focus.

Two years ago we were struggling to get our daughter on the right track. We had tried everything and knew that she would need to be placed in a residential treatment facility. We had searched for at least a year to find the right place. Were looking for a Christian, all girls, small, therapeutic program not too far from Texas. Somehow, someway, God lead us to the Evangelhouse website. We are so glad that we took his direction because it has meant a world of difference for our daughter, our family, our marriage, and our peace of mind! Evangelhouse has taken a once broken, low-self esteem, miserable, self-centered, hostile, angry, self-doubting teenager in crisis and changed her into a Christ-centered, selfless, self-loving, servant-hearted, mature, sensible, responsible, thoughtful young adult. ECA implements a program that strips each student down to the bare necessities in order for them to focus on what is truly important in life. I don't know where we would be without ECA. I now know what it is like to have a functional, happy, and peaceful family life.

Which Behavioral Healthcare Center Is Best For Your Washington Daughter?

It might be difficult to choose the right course of therapy because there are so many different programs, Behavioral Healthcare Centers (RTCs), and care levels available nationwide. Although there are many varied reasons why people seek residential therapy, there are several challenges that virtually always necessitate this degree of care, such as:

    • Serious Mental Health Conditions
    • Trauma and Loss
    • Anxiety
    • Behavioral Concerns

Other criteria, in addition to specific diseases or diagnoses, may make residential therapy a good fit, such as:

    • Attempted lesser levels of therapy (outpatient, IOP, etc.) with little to no symptom alleviation.
    • Lack of sufficient community or domestic support
    • Safety concerns: impulses to damage oneself or a significant behavioral history
    • Diagnostic ambiguity: a Behavioral Healthcare Center for girls may be recommended if healthcare professionals find it difficult to identify your daughter’s diagnosis. Mental health specialists and medical experts can get a more comprehensive understanding of the patient’s symptoms, habits, feelings, etc. in a residential treatment facility.

Behavioral Healthcare Centers for Washington girls, sometimes known as rehabs, offer therapy for a variety of conditions, such as mental illnesses, behavioral difficulties, and problems with substance misuse and addiction. Residential treatment facilities are live-in, clinically focused settings where patients are constantly observed and guided by qualified professionals.

    Selecting the Right Treatment Environment

When selecting a residential treatment program for girls, there are numerous things to take into account. The degree of safety is possibly the most important of them. Although the term “Behavioral Healthcare Center” may conjure up images of danger, you may rest easy knowing that your daughter will be under the supervision of skilled professionals. The well-being of your Washington daughter is, in reality, our first priority.

Equine therapy and horseback riding is just one aspect of residential treatment at Evangelhouse our girls both enjoy and benefit from. There are other residential treatment modalities, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). To assist your daughter, residential therapy employs a comprehensive strategy that concurrently addresses the mind, body, and spirit. Additionally, psychiatric therapies are offered to help your daughter choose a positive course.

Family therapy is one of the most important advantages a Behavioral Healthcare Center for girls like Evangelhouse can provide. Residential therapy is built on improving the environment, unlike many techniques that only address the symptoms of your daughter’s problems. The treatment at a Behavioral Healthcare Center for girls like Evangelhouse assures that your daughter will be on the path to a healthy future rather than just momentarily improving the issue by involving the family in the healing process.

The experience of residential treatment is not tedious; rather, it is enjoyable. Activities that are pleasant also happen to be therapeutic and informative. A Behavioral Healthcare Center can help your Washington daughter feel better whether she is battling mental illness or just needs a break.
