Healing, Empowerment, and Life Skills Program
This program is designed for Rhode Island girls whose experiences with sexual exploitation have impacted their confidence, emotional well being, relationships, and sense of personal safety. Rather than focusing solely on trauma recovery, Evangelhouse helps students from Rhode Island build the skills necessary for long term success and independence.
Rhode Island students learn healthy boundaries, communication skills, emotional regulation, decision making, and personal responsibility. Daily activities emphasize self awareness, resilience, and the development of healthy coping strategies.
Through therapeutic guidance and structured experiences, girls from Rhode Island learn to recognize their strengths, build confidence, and establish healthy relationships with others. They are encouraged to explore their interests, values, and goals while developing a stronger sense of identity.
As healing progresses, students replace fear, shame, and self doubt with confidence, self respect, and hope for the future.
By strengthening emotional resilience and life skills, Evangelhouse helps Rhode Island girls move forward with the tools needed to build healthy relationships, pursue their goals, and create meaningful lives.
Residential Care Designed for Recovery from Sexual Exploitation
Recovery from sexual exploitation often requires more than occasional counseling sessions. At Evangelhouse, residential care provides the consistency, structure, and comprehensive support needed for meaningful healing and lasting change.
Living on campus allows Rhode Island students to focus on recovery in a safe environment away from harmful influences, unhealthy relationships, or situations that may interfere with healing. The structured setting promotes stability and emotional security.
Residential staff, therapists, and educators work together to help students from Rhode Island address the emotional, behavioral, and relational effects of exploitation. Daily experiences become opportunities to practice healthy coping skills, build confidence, and develop trust.
Through this immersive therapeutic environment, Rhode Island girls learn to establish healthy boundaries, strengthen emotional resilience, and develop healthier ways of relating to themselves and others.
The consistency of residential care supports long term growth and helps students from Rhode Island build a foundation for a healthier future.
